Abstract
This study presents an empirical analysis on the relationship between international
trade and Sustainable Development Goals by using data from over 100 countries during the
period of 1 9 9 0-2 0 1 4 . The findings confirm that international trade plays the key role in
helping to attain the Sustainable Development Goals. This study also evaluates the impact
of trade liberalization policy under the Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation by
linking the results from the Computable General Equilibrium model with the data from the
Thailand’s household socio-economic survey. The findings show that trade liberalization
policy can help Thailand achieving at least three Sustainable Development Goals.
