The objectives of   this study were to   examine leadership communication strategies and types of   leadership power that leadsto    meeting effectiveness at   one state enterprise in   Thailand.Qualitative research was adopted. The scope of   the study pertained8   effective meetings selected in   accordance with concepts of meeting effectiveness by    Nixon and Littlepage (1992) whichconsisted of   (1)    Task –  Focus (2)    Systematic Approach, and (3) Timeliness. Respondents of   the research were 5  executives from a  state enterprise who were the chair of   the chosen meetings. The data was collected by    transcribing conversations from taperecordings of   the meetings so as to be    interpreted through content analysis and descriptive analysis.
 The findings revealed that leadership communicationstrategies affecting organizational meetings of   the state enterprise were (1)    summarizing issues (2)    communicating concisely (3) assigning task (4)    pushing participation (5)    stimulating question.Meanwhile, types of   leadership power leading to   effective meetingswere (1)    time management power (2)    decision-making power (3) delegation power (4) climate enhancement power.
