Since the first outbreak of the Corona virus in Thailand in March, 2020, the Thai
government has developed the system to track people of where they go about so that if
there is an outbreak, the government will be able to track down the ills and the
spreaders. The system is called Thai-Chana. This study uses Technology Acceptance
Model to explore the factors that affect the usage of Thai-Chana system.
It is found that perceived ease of use leads to perceived usefulness, and also
leads to intention to use and actual use, which is conform to the literature. However, the
perceived usefulness does not lead to intention to use as was expected.
It was found that because there has been no news nor physical cases that could
show the users how effective the Thai-Chana is, the users perceive the system as not very
useful and led to the lower usage of the system in the new wave of Covid-19 since
December 2020, as compared to the first wave.
