Abstract
This paper aims to study the problems on the rail investment law and policy of
Thailand. According to the study, the investment policy of high-speed rail has affected to
Thailand in many fields such as trade and investment policies, operating system and officer
development etc. Thailand must review the significant policies in order to support foreign
investment; to transfer of knowledge and modern technology, especially; to reform
investment policy and law to support the operation of the rail transportation business.
Consequently, to accomplish the goal of rail transportation development, the business
operation must comply with the railway international standards and law.
