The purpose of this project is to raise awareness among provincial agencies about the importance of the SDGs and their role in local development. These SDG Profiles are more than mere reports—they are strategic tools designed to enhance understanding of how sustainable development goals align with provincial development strategies, equipping stakeholders with the knowledge and insights they need for effective action.

Each SDG Profile provides a comprehensive overview of the sustainable development context in the 15 targeted provinces, using key indicators from the United Nations. The profiles analyze the alignment between the SDGs, each province’s Development Plan (2022–2027), and public perspectives on critical sustainability issues. This analysis offers local governments a clear picture of their current progress toward sustainability, helping them identify key development gaps and formulate strategies for a more sustainable future.
