In 2024, NIDA and its affiliated schools and centers organized a series of activities in supporting of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A highlight was the training program “Sufficiency Living in BCG Development Strategy (SLingBCG)”, jointly organized by the Siripattana Training Center, NIDA, and the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA). The program aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of Thailand’s Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) within the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) development framework as a pathway toward sustainable development. It enabled delegates from partner countries—experienced policymakers and strategic planners nominated by their governments—to design SEP-based BCG models tailored to local contexts. The program also fostered international collaboration and networking to advance global partnerships for sustainability.

Complementing these efforts, NIDA’s Yunus Center and Research Center co-hosted a seminar on “Leadership in Climate Change Crisis Communication” to strengthen communication strategies during climate-related crises. NIDA further held the “NIDA Frontier Research in Action 2024 (NIDA–FRA)”, a national research forum promoting proactive research for national development in line with institutional strategies.

Additionally, in partnership with the Office of the National Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO), NIDA organized the seminar “Changing Ages…Changing Roles”, sharing longitudinal findings from the Health, Aging, and Retirement in Thailand (HART) project that shed light on the evolving lives of older Thai adults.
