NIDA Expands SDG-Focused Education through Aviation Management for Sustainability and Sustainable Strategic Intelligence Programs

The National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) continues to strengthen its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through specialized academic programs that address sustainability in both theory and practice.

In collaboration with Prince of Songkla University (PSU) and Thai Flight Training Co., Ltd., NIDA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop a Master’s in Aviation Management for Sustainability. Co-managed by NIDA’s School of Environmental Development Administration and Thai Flight Training, and linked to PSU’s Bachelor’s in Aviation Industry Management, this program integrates sustainability principles with aviation and tourism management. It aims to enhance Thailand’s national competitiveness and professional capacity in line with global sustainable development priorities.

Parallel to this initiative, NIDA’s Doctor of Philosophy Program in Politics and Development Strategy embeds sustainability, governance, and strategic foresight across its curriculum. Through courses such as Governance and Sustainable Development, Adaptive Policy and Economic Resilience, and Ethical Frameworks for Sustainability-Oriented Policymaking, the program develops leaders equipped to navigate complex socio-political and economic challenges. These learning experiences foster institutional resilience, ethical decision-making, and sustainable strategic intelligence—key competencies for achieving long-term sustainable development.

Together, these programs demonstrate NIDA’s role in advancing Education for the SDGs by nurturing leaders capable of driving sustainability across sectors and institutions.
