The Courtesy Visit of H.E. Mr. Faiyaz Murshid Kazi and the Delegation from the Embassy of Bangladesh

On November 15, 2024, Professor Tippawan Lorsuwannarat, Ph.D., President and the representatives from the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) warmly welcomed H.E. Mr. Faiyaz Murshid Kazi, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Thailand, along with his delegation from the Embassy of Bangladesh.  The meeting took place at the Sirivadhanabhakdi Hall on the 11th floor of the Prince Naradhip Bongsprabandha Building, where both parties engaged in productive discussions on potential academic collaborations. They focused on developing educational activities and joint research initiatives involving the Institute, the YUNUS–NIDA Center, and the Embassy of Bangladesh. Additionally, the importance of cooperation between Thailand and Bangladesh in areas such as sustainable development, and social innovation was emphasized.

The visit concluded with a tour of the YUNUS–NIDA Center, located on the 20th floor of the Navamindradhiraj Building, further highlighting the commitment to fostering strong ties and collaborative efforts in education and research between the two institutions.

The NIDA representatives included:

  1. Associate Professor Sombat Kusumavalee, Ph.D., Vice President for Academic and International Affairs;
  2. Professor Wisakha Phoochinda, Ph.D., Vice President for Research and Academic Services;
  3. Assistant Professor Pornprom Suthatorn, Ph.D., Acting Assistant to the President for Corporate Communications and Director of the Innovation and Transformation Center;
  4. Associate Professor Patthareeya Lakpetch, Ph.D., Director of the Research Bureau; and
  5. Assistant Professor Thitat Chavisschinda, Ph.D., Deputy Director of the Research Bureau.
