            On May 24, 2024, NIDA held a graduation ceremony for 23 Myanmar teacher trainers who participated in the 2nd IU-NIDA Teacher Development Certificate Program. NIDA President, Professor Dr. Tippawan Lorsuwannarat, opened the ceremony with her congratulatory and inspiring remarks. The event also featured speeches from Mr. Noah Cunningham, US Embassy’s Public Diplomacy Officer; Ms. Benjarat Noppornprom, Scholarship Manager at the Institute of International Education (IIE); Prof. Dr. Faridah Pawan, Academic Director of IU-ASEAN Gateway; and Ms. Nan Kyi Htay, Student Representative. Other notable attendees included three IU professors: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Naomi Swiezy, Asst. Prof. Dr. Susan Drumm, and Dr. Emma Everson, as well as GSLC Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kasma Suwanarak, and Vice Deans, Asst. Prof. Dr. ML. Jirapa Abhakorn, Asst. Prof. Dr. Tewich Sawetaiyaram, and PhD Program Director, Asst. Prof. Dr. Aree Manosuthikit. The ceremony also showcased posters displaying the participants’ learning outcomes and celebrated the successful collaboration and the long-lasting friendship between the two partner universities.
