NIDA Global Leadership : Practical Cooperation of Thailand and China under the Silk Road Economic Belt, Study Visits, Guest Lecturer and Creative Tourism

            During June 12-18, 2024, the Office of Foreign Affairs, International Relations Corporate Communication Division successfully organized the NIDA Global Leadership : Practical Cooperation of Thailand and China under the Silk Road Economic Belt for 26 participants from the People’s Republic of China. This initiative aimed to promote academic cooperation networks with international organizations, enhance NIDA’s international image, and foster networks among executives from both the public and private sectors of Thailand and China.
            The project included various activities focused on sustainable development through practical initiatives related to the Royal Projects, public benefits, energy, society, culture, the environment, and the development of innovations based on Thai wisdom. The activities included study visits to the Dental Innovation Foundation under the Royal Patronage, where participants learned how to use vetiver grass in mouthwash and produce liquid food for patients unable to eat. They also studied the roles and missions of the Parliament, attended lectures on electricity production and clean energy by B. Grimm Power Public Company Limited, and visited the Royal Thai Navy’s HTMS Chakri Naruebet and subsequently the Sea Turtle Conservation Center to understand how innovations can be harmoniously developed alongside environmental conservation.
            Moreover, there were lectures on Thai Language and Intercultural Communication by Assistant Professor Pattrawut Charoenroop, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for International Affairs, to enhance understanding of cultural differences and foster cooperation between Thailand and China. The program also included creative tourism activities, such as visits to the Grand Palace, the Emerald Buddha Temple, and dinner cruises along Chao Phraya River in Bangkok and Pattaya City, Chon Buri Province. These activities received highly enthusiastic participation and interest from the attendees.
