On December 5, 2023, a delegation from the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) visited East China Normal University (ECNU) in Shanghai, the People’s Republic of China. The delegation, led by Prof. Dr. Tippawan Lorsuwannarat, President of NIDA, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sombat Kusumavalee, Vice President for Academic and International Affairs, included representatives from various graduate schools within NIDA, such as the Graduate School of Public Administration (GSPA), Graduate School of Business Administration (NIDA Business School), Graduate School of Social Development and Management Strategy (GSDMS), Graduate School of Law (GSL), and Graduate School of Communication Arts and Management Innovation (GSCM). They were warmly welcomed by the executives of ECNU, led by Prof. QIAN Xuhong, ECNU President, along with representatives from the Graduate School, School of Public Administration, School of Economics and Management, Law School, and International Cooperation & Exchange Division.
During the visit, both parties engaged in a collaborative dialogue on academic cooperation, discussing various key points of interest, including: (1) ECNU students expressed a keen interest in participating in a short-term exchange program at NIDA. (2) Both institutions reached a consensus on the mutual commitment to organizing academic conferences, conducting collaborative research endeavors, and co-authoring articles for joint publication. (3) In line with their commitment to strengthening collaboration, ECNU and NIDA are actively preparing and finalizing a memorandum of understanding on academic cooperation. This formal agreement solidifies their intent to enhance collaborative efforts and promote academic exchange between the two institutions. This visit marks a significant milestone in fostering a productive and fruitful partnership between ECNU and NIDA, allowing for the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and academic opportunities for students and faculty from both institutions.
