Chinese New Year 2024

On Monday, February 5, 2024, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) held a Chinese New Year celebration at Room 805 on the 8th floor of the Prince Naradhip Bongsprabandha Building. The event aimed to foster positive relationships among NIDA’s administrators, faculty members, staff, international students, and Thai students enrolled in NIDA’s English and international programs. Additionally, it provided an opportunity for cultural exchange and offered insights into the Chinese New Year for international students. Around sixty attendees from seven different countries – including the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the People’s Republic of China, the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Federation of Russia, and Thailand – took an active part in the celebration. Distinguished individuals graced the occasion, including Assistant Professor Dr. Pattrawut Charoenroop, Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Associate Professor Dr. Asawin Nedpogaeo, Assistant to the President for Corporate Communication; Associate Professor Goto Hiroki, Lecturer, Graduate School of Language and Communication; Mrs. Hathaikarn Mclaughlin, College Secretary, the International College of NIDA; Miss Nipa Chumsuk, Director of the International Relations and Corporate Communication Division, alongside the Division’s staff. The program began with a sharing of Chinese New Year experiences, a dumpling-making demonstration, live music performance, and the singing of English and Chinese songs by NIDA executives and students.
