Professor Tippawan Lorsuwannarat, Ph.D., President of NIDA, and Associate Professor Sarawut Jansuwan, Ph.D., Vice President for Administration and Digital Technology; Assistant Professor Akkaranan Pongsathornwiwat, Ph.D., Director of the Information and Digital Technology Center; and Assistant Professor Tanasai Sucontphunt, Ph.D., Director of the Computer Science and Information Systems Program, Graduate School of Applied Statistics, visited the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC) in Spain on November 5, 2025. In the 2026 QS World University Rankings, UPC is ranked 392nd in the world and is acknowledged as one of the top universities in Europe for engineering and technology. Associate Professor Anna Rio Doval, Dean of the Barcelona School of Informatics, and her team extended a cordial greeting to the NIDA delegation. The two parties engaged in discussions regarding prospective research and academic collaboration, with a particular emphasis on the development of graduate-level programs in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science, and Cyber Security in the future.
