Announcement: Dress Code and Activities During the Period of National Mourning for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother

Pursuant to the announcement issued by the Office of the Prime Minister on 25 October 2025 regarding the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, the Government has directed that all government offices, state enterprises, government agencies, and educational institutions lower the national flag to half-mast for a period of thirty (30) days, beginning on 25 October 2025. Furthermore, all civil servants, state enterprise employees, and government officials are required to observe a period of mourning for one (1) year from the same date.

In accordance with the aforementioned directive, and by virtue of Section 40 of the National Institute of Development Administration Act, B.E. 2562 (2019), the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) hereby issues the following instructions:

1. All Institute personnel shall wear attire appropriate for the period of mourning for a duration of one (1) year, commencing on 25 October 2025.

2. All students shall wear respectful clothing in white, black, or other dark and subdued tones, avoiding bright or gaudy colors, for a duration of ninety (90) days, commencing on 25 October 2025.

3. All festive occasions, celebratory gatherings, and entertainment-related events shall be suspended for thirty (30) days, commencing on 25 October 2025.
