NIDA Joins Panel Discussion at the APEC Conference in the Russian Federation

On September 4, 2025, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, together with Russian Higher Education Institutions and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, with the support of the APEC Human Resources Development Working Group, organized the 14th APEC Conference on Cooperation in Higher Education (APEC CCHE). The event, hosted by Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) in Vladivostok, was held under the theme“Education for Sustainable Development.”

Professor Tippawan Lorsuwannarat, Ph.D., President of the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), was honored to join the plenary discussion on “The Educational Ecosystem of the Future: How APEC Economies can Sustain their Competitive Advantage.”The session was chaired by Professor Evgeny E. Vlasov, Vice President for International Relations at FEFU, and featured panelists from the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Indonesia, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and Japan. The event was attended by a large audience, including senior administrators, university faculty, officials from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and academic scholars.

In the afternoon, Associate Professor Sarawut Jansuwan, Ph.D., Vice President for Administration and Digital Technology at NIDA, presented on the topic “Building a Digital Twin Platform to Support Engineering Ecosystems: Case Study of NIDA Smart Campus in Thailand.”The session brought together administrators, researchers, and engineering faculty members from the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Indonesia, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

After the conclusion of the sessions, Professor Tippawan Lorsuwannarat, Ph.D., together with Associate Professor Sarawut Jansuwan, Ph.D., and Associate Professor Pattrawut Charoenroop, Ph.D., were invited to a dinner reception hosted by the university. The event was attended by senior executives from international universities and served as a platform for networking and discussions on future academic collaboration.
