On June 20, 2025, Professor Tippawan Lorsuwannarat, Ph.D., President of NIDA, Associate Professor Sombat Kusumavalee, Ph.D., Vice President for Academic and International Affairs, and staff from the Office of International Affairs, warmly welcomed Associate Professor Sida Sonsri, a Philippine and Southeast Asian expert; Lizan E. Rivera, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Public Administration and Governance, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela (University of Valenzuela City), Philippines. The meeting took place at the President’s Meeting Room, 10th Floor of the Prince Naradhip Bongsprabandha Building. During the meeting, both parties engaged in a constructive exchange of views on potential strategies for future academic cooperation.

The discussion particularly focused on the concept of “Collaborative Governance,” which emphasizes inclusive and transparent cooperation among the public sector, private sector, and civil society. The primary objective is to promote sustainable development in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17: Partnerships for the Goals. This collaborative approach aligns with the evolving dynamics of public policy and reflects the core competencies of NIDA, which aspires to be a leading center of excellence in development administration—advancing organizations, communities, and societies at both national and global levels.
