On 27 January 2025, Professor Dr. Tippawan Lorsuwannarat, president of The National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) gave an opening remark to kick start an academic talk “A Conversation with Teun A. van Dijk on Discourse Studies Research: From Incubation to Publication” organized by the Graduate School of Language and Communication (GSLC) with Associate Professor Dr. Savitri Gadavanij as a moderator. Professor van Dijk is a world-renowned scholar and is one of the world top 2% scientists with H Index of 160. He is director of Discourse Studies Centre at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain. He is a founder of Critical Discourse Studies and is currently an editor of 2 key SCImago indexed journals in the field of discourse studies namely Discourse Studies and Discourse and Society.
