NIDA Participates in the Opening Ceremony of the 9th TICA Connect

On December 12, 2024, Assistant Professor Pattrawut Charoenroop, Ph.D., the Assistant to the President for International Affairs, along with a staff member from the Office of International Affairs, attended the opening ceremony of the 9th TICA Connect. The event, themed “Empowering Communities for a Sustainable Future,” took place at the Government Complex Commemorating His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary.

The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij, Deputy Permanent Secretary for   the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and featured a keynote speech by Ms. Michaela Friberg-Storey, the UN Resident Coordinator in Thailand. Her speech focused on empowering local communities to promote sustainable development.

During this occasion, Assistant Professor Pattrawut Charoenroop, Ph.D. engaged in discussions with Ms. Michaela Friberg-Storey about potential collaboration between the UN and NIDA in the area of sustainable development.
