Visit of NIDA Representative to Peking University, the People’s Republic of China

On October 14, 2024, Assistant Professor Pattrawut Charoenroop. Ph.D., the Assistant to the President for International Affairs, visited Peking University on behalf of the institute. The purpose of this visit was to present NIDA’s academic and research interests to Peking University, which is currently ranked 14th in the QS World University Rankings for 2025. This engagement sought to strengthen existing relationships and explore collaborative opportunities in academic and research initiatives. NIDA has a history of productive partnerships with the National School of Development at Peking University, including the organization of academic seminars and international conferences on Economics. During the visit, the NIDA delegation received a warm welcome from Associate Professor WANG Min, a Professor of Economics at the National School of Development. They were joined by Ms. LU Jiao, Deputy Chief of the Division for Exchange Programs within the Office of International Relations, and Mr. Edward ZHANG, Deputy Director of the Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development. The discussions centered around future collaborative endeavors, fostering a spirit of cooperation between the two institutions.
