On December 15, 2023, NIDA (National Institute of Development Administration) had the privilege of hosting a visit from Prof. Keiko Ikeda, a distinguished professor from Kansai University in Japan. Representatives from NIDA included Asst. Prof. Pattrawut Charoenroop, Ph.D. – Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Sid Suntrayuth, Ph.D. – Dean of International College; Asst. Prof. Prapin Nuchpiam, Ph.D. – Associate Dean for Academic and International Affairs of the Graduate School of Law; and Assoc. Prof. Asda Chintakananda, Ph.D. – Director of the PhD in Business Administration program at the Graduate School of Business Administration. Ms. Nipa Chumsuk, Director for International Relations and Corporate Communication Division, together with other NIDA staff members, were also present to welcome the distinguished delegation. The purpose of this visit was to formally receive and engage in academic discussions with Prof. Keiko Ikeda, Ph.D., the Vice-Director of the Institute for Innovative Global Education (IIGE).
The meeting venue was the Meeting Room 801, situated on the 8th floor of the Prince Naradhip Bongsprabandha Building. During the meeting, both parties demonstrated great enthusiasm for potential collaborations in various academic domains. Areas of collaboration that were discussed included joint research initiatives, student exchange programs, projects involving visiting professors and scholars, co-teaching, international internships, innovation and startup hubs, as well as study trips to Japan, among other possibilities.
This visit represents a significant milestone in fostering academic cooperation between NIDA and Kansai University. It not only creates opportunities for international engagement but also contributes to the advancement of education and knowledge exchange between these two esteemed institutions.
