Report writing: A way to Gain Feedback from Students

In this qualitative research study, the data were culled from 172 reports written on the last day of the course. For linguistic achievement, 149 out of 172 (86.63%) could complete their reports within 20 minutes, with the three main parts: introduction, body information, and conclusion. One hundred percent of students were content with the course. The respondents mentioned five contributory factors comprising (1) developing and/or refreshing English skills, (2) making new friends, (3) establishing solid foundation and expectation of the program, (4) reinforcing a new presentation trend, and (5) gaining new knowledge via reading academic texts. The report-writing activity was deemed beneficial as it functions both as a learning activity and, simultaneously, as a by-product to garner feedback from students.
