Abstract

This research was based on a post-test only with control group design research model among 3rd-year undergraduate students studying humanities and education at 3 Rajabhat Universities located in the northern region, totaling 512 persons, with 112 male (21.90%) and 400 female (78.10%), 244 studying in social sciences (47.70%) and 268 studying in education (52.30%) were randomly assigned to be Importing the experimental group and other comparison groups with the same characteristics to make the experimental group and the control group have the same properties. And using a random number counting technique, divided into 4 groups. Number 1 was a group of students who had read the persuasive message and supportive writing (n=138). Number 2 was a group of students who read the control message and supportive writing (n=132). Number 3 was the read the persuasive message and control writing (n=123), and number 4 was a group of students who read the control message and control writing (n=119). Action has been taken to answer the measure to check the action and answer the questions for each variable. There were 6 groups of variables in this study. The first group interventions consisted of receiving reading the persuasive message and supportive writing. The second the dependent variable was the attitude towards explore knowledge and readiness to explore knowledge. The third group variables of psychological traits, consisted of 3 variables, core self-evaluation, psychological capital, and future orientation self-control. The fourth group variables of situation factors, consisted of 3 variables, perception of social norms, seeing an example from an earlier generation, and perception of indirect experience. And the fifth group was the bio-social background of the samples. The important research findings are as follows: Firstly, it was found that the student who read the persuasive message, supportive writing, and has a high level of perception of indirect experience are more ready to explore knowledge students who did not read the persuasive message, not supportive writing and have a low level of perception of social experience. Secondly, psychological traits together with situational factors with a total of 6 variables were able to predict 1) attitude towards explore knowledge with 41.91%. The important predictors sorted in descending order were favorable future orientation self-control, perception of social norms, psychological capital, and seeing an example from an earlier generation. 2) readiness to explore knowledge with 43.00%. The important predictors sorted in descending order were favorable perception of social norms, future orientation self-control, psychological capital, and seeing an example from an earlier generation. For research recommendations, it was found that the motivation in this research is effective in changing attitudes and readiness to explore knowledge for healthy aging preparation. Therefore, agencies that want to promote the preparation of healthy aging for the new generation. It is possible to use this inducer which is not very long. Concise content, easy to understand, and it doesn’t take long to educate the target audience along with other activities. Additionally, a sample study of 1st, 2nd, and 4th-year undergraduate students should also be conducted to determine the effectiveness of this inducer. There should also be other forms of action to induce youth. And there should be experimental research to evaluate it. Also, there may be additional studies of other variables. expected to correlate with readiness to explore knowledge for healthy aging preparation, such as psychological capital, future orientation-self control, perception of indirect experience and seeing an example from an earlier generation, etc. To make the research results more clear and complete. However, In the next research, should be done qualitative research in parallel and should be researched in the longitudinal study. The results of the persuasion action were measured periodically and experiments should be conducted on youth in all regions, to get the effectiveness of the experiment more clearly.
